They span data rates from 20kbps to 1Mbps, including commonly used 120kbps and 250kbps speeds. The RS-232 transceiver can operate on a single 5V power supply, and most transceivers can operate at power voltages as low as 3V. Enhanced ESD (electrostatic discharge) can reach up to+/-15kV IEC 61000-4-2 and/or+/-15kV HBM (individual human body model).
